Station Pier information

Station Pier is a heritage-listed facility and has played an important role in the lives of Victorians for more than 160 years.

The pier has been welcoming immigrants and visitors since the 1850s and has also been the place for farewelling our service men and women as they left for theatres of conflict.

Today Station Pier hosts the Spirit of Tasmania ferries and cruise ships from around the world. The number of ships arriving at Station Pier is growing each year as well as the sizes of the ships carrying more passengers. VPCM  is redeveloping the pier to meet this tourism demand for Victoria.
