Queen Elizabeth calls Melbourne home

Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth berthed at Station Pier on Sunday 10 February on her first visit for this cruise season.

Melbourne will be a key homeport for Queen Elizabeth over the next three seasons. She will make five turnaround visits, or round trips, to Station Pier this summer, eight in 2019-20 and nine are scheduled for the 2021-21 cruise season.

Simon Palethorpe, President of Cunard, announced that Queen Elizabeth will be based in Australian waters for a record 54 days this season and has 101 days scheduled for 2019-20 followed by an unprecedented 118 days over the 2020-21 summer.

Rachel Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Victorian Ports Corporation, said ”I am very proud that Cunard has chosen Melbourne as one of the special homeport locations for their beautiful ship Queen Elizabeth.”
