Rachel Johnson, CEO of Victorian Ports Corporation (Melbourne) (VPCM), is joining other CEOs, business and community leaders in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout on 20 June 2019.
Rachel said, “I am trying to raise money for Vinnies and would appreciate any support you can provide. The cause is about raising money for individuals and families who become homeless and to that end I will be sleeping outside in the South Melbourne Market carpark on 20 June 2019 with other people who are hoping to raise funds.
"This link takes you to the donation page and any small (or large) donation would be gratefully received.”
Update from Rachel:
The Vinnies homeless appeal set out to raise $900,000 for the 2019 Melbourne CEO Sleepout, which this year celebrates its 10 year anniversary.
The $900,000 Melbourne goal has already been reached and the organisers have set a new goal of $1,300,000.
The national goal is $7,100,000. So far $6,141,404 has been raised.
Nationally, 253 CEOs are taking part, with 6399 supporters
So far, Rachel and her supporters have raised $12,912, placing her 14th on the Melbourne leader board and 76th nationally. When asked by the organisers to set a new higher goal, Rachel chose $15,000, quite a challenge with only a few hours to go.
