The cruise ship Norwegian Star departed Melbourne around 2 pm on Tuesday 14 February 2017, bound for Auckland.
Following repairs to the propulsion system Norwegian Star left the berth at Station Pier with the assistance of two tugs and then underwent sea trials in Port Phillip Bay. When the Classification Society was satisfied with the results of the trials the ship resumed her cruise to New Zealand.
The ship had been towed back to the Port of Melbourne on Saturday 11 February for repairs after losing propulsion power the previous day.
