Victorian Ports Corporation (Melbourne) (VPCM) has policies and procedures for the management of cruise vessel call bookings and these are detailed in its
Cruise Vessel Booking Protocol.
The Certificate of Condition (CoC) is prepared by VPCM and presented to the Hirer before the vessel berths and again immediately before the departure of the vessel. The application of the CoC is detailed in Clause 17 of the Standard Terms and Conditions for Hire of Common User Wharves and Terminals (see above).
The Inward Passenger Manifest Declaration is required to be submitted as required by Clause 9 of the Standard Terms and Conditions for Hire of Common User Wharves and Terminals (see above).
Ancillary Service Providers (ASP) at Station Pier must apply for an ASP Licence for the cruise shipping season.
The licence is to ensure that ASP and their staff, employees, contractors and sub-contractors are compliant with VPCM requirements regarding work site access conditions, occupational health and safety, insurance, maritime security, environment management and operational performance standards.
